If you're already a graduate you must start now. Scholarships are snatched up quickly. We've provided a page of scholarships and resources you should visit. go through each link, if it is a search engine, complete the registration and search it multiple times over the next few months. If it is a link to a scholarship, complete each registration. The more scholarships for which you register the more likely you are to get one.
Don't Assume
Almost everyone is eligible for some type of financial aid. Even those that think they earn too much. Fill out the FAFSA and let the U.S. Department of Education determine the amount of aid you'll receive. They consider a number of factors including:
- College costs
- Financial need
- Academic Performance
- Ethnicity or Nationality
- Special Aptitude - such as music, art or athletics
Apply, apply and then apply some more!
Apply for the FAFSA early. The official deadline varies from state to state. Regardless of the deadline, submit your FAFSA as soon after January 1st as possible. While there are no limit to the number of student loans available from lenders, students who apply earliest after the appropriate date have the ebst chance of getting need-based aid.
Apply for scholarships through-out the year. You can find a list of scholarship resource on our scholarship page. These have varying deadlines and the fact that you are not awarded the scholarship the first time doesn't mean you won't get it the next time.
Apply for student loans at any time by starting the process online. A private loan may be the best choice as it is not need-based. You may request a free, no obligation consultation and review of your private loan eligibility by completing our online application form.
